Pictured above is Grandpa Swanson's first Dirt Track Stock Car, 1930 Model A. This picture was taken at the home of Chuck and Linda Swanson (Grandpa & Grandma Swanson) in Zimmerman Minnesota the summer of 1970.
Princeton Speedway continues to entertain the race fans every Friday night with great side-by-side action. A very popular driver that grew up racing on the ¼ mile dirt oval in Princeton was World of Outlaw driver Craig Dollansky #7. Bill Dollansky raced many laps with Grandpa Chuck Swanson.
Below is Grandpa's new and improved racecar. To be able to run with the big boys Grandpa built this 1957 Plymouth for the new season of 1972. Princeton Speedway in Minnesota was the home track for the Swanson Race Team when this Racing heritage had just began. A couple of wins and a whole lot of great memories were made over Grandpa Swanson’s short Stockcar career. In 1973 we moved back to California and started racing motorcycles until 1990.
